HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
A Week in the Life of Dollycas
I am so happy to put March in the rearview mirror. It is just hard every year.
I am also encouraged by the way things are starting to move in a positive direction with COVID. I am actually looking forward to getting out of this house for more things than doctor’s appointments and the occasional grandchildren’s sporting events. I am sure I am not alone. Family fun days and swimming at the local aquatic center are the top things on my post-COVID list!
There was some sad news this week for readers. Author Mary Daheim passed away on Thursday, March 31 at the age of 84. She started out writing historical romances but switched to cozy mysteries in 1991 with Just Desserts, the first book in her Bed & Breakfast Series. The 31st book in the series was released in February 2019 and the 32nd was to be released later this year. In 1992 the 1st book of the Emma Lord Mysteries was released and continued for 27 more books. We communicated for several years through email and she was a pure delight. I was so happy to organize a virtual book tour for her in 2020. I will miss her.
Other than that it was a typical week around here.

I truly loved Mary’s books….she was a delight….
Thank you.
Sorry for your loss of your author friend. I’d seen her name around but never read her. I read the first 2 of the Lowcountry Boil series and they were fun. Hope you get out more this week! I go to the supermarket once a week and in my backyard when the weather cooperates. Have a good week.
Getting out … on everyone’s mind. We love to be outdoors, but our weather the last couple of weeks just isn’t compatible with outdoor activities. We did walk in a spitting rain one day.

I am looking forward to getting out more as well! Spring is slow in coming here in Wisconsin. I feel the same way about April that you feel about March – too many sad things in April. Glad you are in good spirits and looking forward to April!
Sorry about the author. *Hugs.* It always sucks when our favorites die. I hope you have a good week!
I know you are glad to put March behind you. It is great that Covid protocols have lightened up and we can all get out more. I hope that continues.
Sad to hear about author Mary Daheim. It’s sad to think there will be no more books by her. I’ve lost several of my favorites in recent years.
