Hi Amy.
Tell us a little bit about yourself.
Hi there. I’m Amy Hueston. I just released the 3rd in my Canine Confections series and I also just released the first in a puzzle series that accompanies the Canine Confections books. This first puzzle book has mazes, wordsearches and crossword puzzles and has subjects related to Paws for Concern, book 1 in the series. I really like to read and solve puzzles and mysteries, and thought others might too.
What kind of research do you do, and how long do you spend researching before beginning a book? I visit Palm Beach for this series and I don’t have a set amount of time. There are so many fun things to do there, it’s hard to decipher what counts as “research.” 😊
Do you ever suffer from Writer’s Block? Yup. Whenever I think too much and don’t let the creative juices just FLOW…
What advice do you have for someone who would like to become a published writer? It’s harder than it appears. It’s also a lot of fun.
When you are not writing what do you like to do? I’m a singer and I get hired for that a lot, and I like it, so that counts, right? I also like to spend as much time with my dogs as possible. They totally deserve it, dogs get bored if they just sit around all day, plus it makes me happy!
How has the COVID pandemic affected you and you’re writing? It hasn’t really.
If you could travel anywhere in the world where would you go and why? I’d like to go to the hotel where Stephen King stayed when he wrote The Shining. I love spooky fun.
What is next on the horizon for you? Ummmm….petting my dogs? And maybe a 4th installment of the Canine Confections series and a psychological thriller. Singing. Meeting new people and dogs. Traveling. Reading. Writing more stories for Woman’s World magazine. So many things, hard to finish the list now that I’ve started.

Two occasions of dipping my toes back into the dating pool after my old boyfriend broke my heart back in Sun Haven, and I was already wanting to go full-on up to my ankles with this guy.
“Snowball, you’re going to have to play nice if you want to live here,” I said, hearing the empty threat in my words and knowing there was zero chance we would ever give the cat away just because we had a learning curve on how to make this work.
Now that I didn’t have to worry as much about my income stream, I could think about other things…sweeter things…like Peanut Butter Clusters and PupCakes

A few months ago, when I lived in Sun Haven, I didn’t run into a murderer once, far as I know. This town was rife with them
