A Week in the Life of Dollycas
I had a really good week!

On Monday, I was released from the Wound Care Clinic as the wounds on my legs are healed. The skin is still new, red, and thin, so I need to continue to wear a pad over them with my compression stockings. I have also received a pump with leggings to help keep the fluid down in my legs. Right now, I use it for an hour before bedtime and it is very relaxing. If the swelling gets worse I can add another treatment during the day.
With my release from the clinic, I was released from the home care that was happening twice a week to change my leg bandages too. Our last visit was Friday and after all these months it was hard to say goodbye. I really looked forward to her visits. No matter how bad I was feeling or depressed because of the slow healing process she always made me feel better and I usually was smiling or laughing by the time she left. I was truly blessed by the care she gave me and the care I received at the clinic. Now my goal is to grow some good tough skin and be ready to hit the pool at the aquatic center with the kids and grandkids this summer! It has been too long.
Mr. Dollycas spent the week preparing to go back to the office tomorrow. He will be packing up his laptop, monitors, and phone today so he can get his desk at the office set up again. He was allowed a couple of extra weeks at home to get me to my final doctor appointments. It should be very interesting this week with just Daisy and me here at home.

The weather last week was crazy. Some parts of Wisconsin had snow. We mostly had rain, wind, and sleet with one nice Spring type day. It looks like this week is still going to be chilly. I am ready for the warm temperatures to come and stay. Hopefully, Mother Nature is too!
Today we are on the road traveling to make some Easter Bunny deliveries to some very special people.

Happy Easter!
So good to hear you are progressing so well…
It’ll be quite different without Mr. Dollycas after all this time home…quite an adjustment!
Here’s hoping you’ll be in the pool sooner rather than later!
Happy Easter! Glad to hear your recovery is going well, you sound positive!
Great book haul! I think those books with the covers that you can color in yourself, must be awesome! I haven’t seen any around in our bookshop, will see if I can order one.
Have a good week and take care!

What excellent news about your release from wound care! I’m sending prayers and good vibes for growing strong skin.
It will be different when your esposo returns to the office. I hope all will go well for him and you. At least you will have your sweet dog.
