HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
No travels for me this week. I have been feeling a bit fatigued because a new side effect has kicked in from my cancer med. My appetite has taken a nosedive the last few weeks and sweets are not craved at all. That’s great because I am losing weight but I know it is the reason for my fatigue. My oncologist confirmed that it is a side effect and is not concerned but said I should add protein shakes to my diet, drink as much water as I can, get plenty of rest, and we will discuss it at my next appointment unless I feel I need to see him sooner. So book tours and writing reviews filled my days. Reading and binge-watching Below Deck filled my evenings. I am not staying up as late reading trying to follow that get plenty of rest order.
Kaden and Remi had fun last week. Kaden has been weight training all summer and football practice started a few weeks ago. Thursday night they had their first game. They won 30-12. His new position is nose tackle. Funny coincidence, the players are allowed to choose their numbers and Kaden had chosen “74”. Yesterday, his dad posted these pictures. “Found this gem today…like father like son right down to the number….Kaden didn’t even know that 74 was my high-school football number until after he already had picked it.”
Remington started his football practice yesterday so soon we will be going to watch him play too. For his age group, it is still flag football but they wear pads.
I wish my grandchildren would just slow down, they are growing so fast. School starts for all of them soon. I am still trying to wrap my head around that Kaden is a Freshman in high school and that Charlotte is going to turn 3 this week. Remi and Natalie seem to have grown inches every time I see them. I am so blessed.
How was your week?

What lovely photos of your handsome grandsons–I KNOW you are “grandma proud.” No one can be any prouder of someone than a grandma.
The Girl from Silent Lake looks like promising thriller. Enjoy those protein shakes!
Your grandchildren are all very accomplished. How fun it is that Kaden has his dad’s number.
I am sorry to hear you are fatigued. I hope this will be temporary.
