HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
A Week in the Life of Dollycas
Hi Everyone,
I had a really good week.
Monday my home health nurse arrived to change the bandages around my PICC line and to draw blood from the line for my weekly labs. The week before she had a devil of a time getting blood to flow but after a bunch of saline pushed into the line and moving my arm every which way it finally started flowing blood. On Monday she seemed to have the magic touch and blood was drawn in just a few minutes.
On Tuesday I had an appointment with the infectious disease doc and he told me my numbers were looking great. He ordered an X-ray of my arm and said if it looked good I could complete the IV antibiotics on November 2. His nurse called shortly after we left that said the X-ray was great and that I could plan for the November 2nd end date. Now she just has to schedule for the PICC line removal and I will be released from their care. It has been a stressful crazy couple of months but now there is an end date in sight.
Friday night around here means football. It was the first game of the playoffs and again the Columbus Cardinals didn’t disappoint. It was 28-0 at the end of the first quarter, 42-0 at the end of the half, 49-0 at the end of the 3 quarter, and 63-6 at the end of the game. The freshman were put into the game during the 3rd and 4th quarters and Kaden missed a sack of the quarterback by skinny inches but he did force an interception. I love being at the game but there is no instant reply like on television and I would have loved to watch the play again and again. The smile on Kaden’s face after was the best part. That quarterback definitely knew how lucky he was and after that Kaden was double-teamed every time he was in the game. This Friday Columbus plays Baldwin-Woodville at home. I hope the weather is as nice as it was Friday but this is Wisconsin so it could be snowing.
How was your week?
