HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
A Week in the Life of Dollycas
Are you all ready for Christmas?
We will be gathering with Mr. Dollycas’s family on Christmas day but due to work schedules, we won’t be celebrating Christmas with our immediate family until January 7. So I don’t have to rush but I keep seeing the “perfect” gift for everyone. I saw a meme on Facebook that fit me to a tee, so I had to dress it up a little to use it here.
On Tuesday night, Daughter #2 and I had the joy of attending Natalie’s Christmas Concert. She looked so gorgeous my heart stopped for a second realizing how grown up she is. I am so proud of her. She and 4 of her friends talked their teacher into learning a special song on the xylophones so they could perform it at the concert and they did a wonderful job.

This time of year is always hard for anyone that has lost a loved one. Kris is always on my mind like I was hoping he was watching Natalie’s concert from heaven while we enjoyed it here on earth. Tuesday morning I woke up to see another famous person had taken their own life leaving behind a great family. My brain tells me they were in great pain that I wouldn’t understand but my heart breaks and gets angry for those like me and Natalie who are left behind to deal with the pain of them being gone. Stephen “tWitch” Boss was just 10 years older than Kris was when he made the decision to take his life. Like Kris, he had tons of family and friends that loved him and that wasn’t enough to keep either of them here. On social media, someone wrote:
I don’t think that anyone that takes their own life realizes the pain they leave behind. The pain has taken over rational thinking. They all seem to get to a place where believe the world will be better off without them. That the pain they are feeling is too dark and we can’t handle it or help them.
Mental health isn’t an exact science. You can’t see it on an X-ray. A blood test won’t diagnose it. Every person’s mental health is unique. But there is help, professionals, friends, and family.
So this Christmas reach out to your loved ones. They can be putting on an excellent front while inside they are breaking. Look at tWitch’s big smile. We always saw tWitch with a big smile. Now he is gone.
Also, please if you are in crisis or feel you are nearing a crisis, reach out to family, friends, and doctors. Life is not better off without you!!!! Dial 988 for help! Or call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255) or contact the Crisis Text Line by texting TALK to 741-741.

Natalie is beautiful. I know you are so proud of her.
I volunteered for many years at a Suicide Hotline. The calls always picked up a lot during the holidays. Many people put on a happy face. Thank you for sharing suggestions for those who are despondent during this time.
Have a great week and happy holidays.
