HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
A Week in the Life of Dollycas
Oh! The weather outside last week was frightful
and we have no delightful fireplace.
Thankfully this house is much better insulated with great windows so it is nowhere as drafty as the last house was. So I threw on a sweater and was just fine. I was thankful there was no need to venture outside. The weather was perfect for curling up with a good book. I read some books from my personal shelf and it was very relaxing because there was no pressure of needing to write a review when I was done.
As I told you last week we will be celebrating today with my husband’s side of the family. I love it when we all get together but Daughter #1 is working this weekend so we will be picking up Kaden and Remi so they don’t miss the celebration.
Our immediate family is not gathering until January 7 so Christmas presents are still arriving and there will be no rush with wrapping right now. We did decide that some of us will get together on New Year’s Eve day to bake some Christmas cookies. My mother-in-law was dealing with some health issues so the annual cookie baking at her house didn’t happen this year. She is feeling much better and I can’t wait to see her today.
In other news, Remington turned 10 on Tuesday. When he was born we also had crazy weather. Mr. Dollycas drove his parents to the hospital following a snowplow in whiteout conditions. We will be celebrating both Remi’s and Kaden’s birthdays on January 7.
So how are things in your neck of the woods?
