HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
A Week in the Life of Dollycas
Last Sunday our family gathered together with my husband’s side of the family. 40 out of 47 filled the home with fun, food, and laughter. I love this picture of Daughter #2 and Son #2 with their Grandma!
My Blogoversary Celebration started on Thursday! Be sure to check out all the giveaways!
Yesterday we gathered to bake Christmas Cookies for our Christmas next Saturday. Mr. Dollycas wasn’t feeling well so he went to rest. Then we found out mid-afternoon that he had brought home an extra present from the family Christmas last week. COVID! The rest of us all felt fine. So we isolated the big guy and we kept baking. It wasn’t as much fun as when we got together at my mother-in-law’s but we did our best.
We made it all through the past two years without catching the dreaded bug and now it is in my house. We have been vaccinated and boostered but we are breaking out the masks. I hope everyone is healthy for a celebration next week! DAMN COVID!

Your holidays sound like they were wonderful, despite the covid. Happy New Year to you and yours!
Oh golly! I do hope your husband’s case of Covid is light and over quickly. I hope no one else gets it.
You do look like you had a great time nevertheless!
And to celebrate the new year…
Here’s a bit from a lovely old (1850!) poem:
“Ring out the old, ring in the new,
Ring, happy bells, across the snow:
The year is going, let him go;
Ring out the false, ring in the true…
Ring out a slowly dying cause,
And ancient forms of party strife;
Ring in the nobler modes of life,
With sweeter manners, purer laws…
Ring out false pride in place and blood,
The civic slander and the spite;
Ring in the love of truth and right,
Ring in the common love of good.”
And a toast: Here’s to a year of wonderful reads and small joys!
Oh no! Wishing your husband a quick recovery and hoping no one else gets it! Happy New Year and hope 2023 is filled with joy for you. Thank you so much for your kindness and book tours. They have meant a lot to me!
Happy New Year. Who are the winners of your giveaways?
