A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received, and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
Another quiet week. Days at the computer, evenings reading and watching television. We didn’t even leave the house.
I am having a major issue with my blog that is driving me a bit crazy. The tour banners that usually scroll across the top of the blog have moved themselves to below the footer. The GoodReads Current Reading Widget is doing the same. The titles are in the right place but the content has floated to the bottom. I spent most of Friday troubleshooting the problem but nothing worked. I have sent some messages out to support but haven’t heard anything back yet and am still super frustrated.
I did find The Traitors on Peacock and it was a nice distraction from my online woes.
Overview given by TVLINE Hosted by the talented and captivating Alan Cumming, the rascally new reality series The Traitors (all 10 episodes now available to stream) combines 10 reality TV veterans with 10 fresh faces for an ultimate test of wit and social savvy.
Three players are secretly chosen by Cumming to be the Traitors. The remaining 17, deemed “the Faithful,” are tasked with unmasking the Traitors and banishing them from the game via group vote. But after every banishment comes a murder! The Traitors meet after midnight to select one player they think is getting too close, and once pinpointed, he or she is “murdered” and cut from the game.
Along the way, the group banks money into a team prize pot, and if the Faithful can eliminate all of the Traitors by the game’s end, the cash is theirs to split. But if one or more Traitors remain, he, she, or they will stake claim to the green. But of course, the players will have to navigate a few jolting twists along the way.
It was good but the mystery lover in me wanted the murders to be more dramatic. The murdered players receive a letter under their door delivering the news that they have been murdered. Then the rest of the players come down to breakfast waiting to see who fails to arrive. No blood-curdling screams, no fake dead body. Just the victim sitting in a chair reading the letter, giving a few thoughts, and then they are gone.
The setting, a castle in Scotland was gorgeous, the “missions” were interesting although one was really creepy and one was really crawly, the roundtables entertaining, and Alan Cummings is a hoot. He was the perfect host. According to TV Line, the show is a hit and there should be a season 2. Click here to watch the trailer.
Today we are getting out of the house. Grandson Remi has a basketball tournament about an hour away. Daughter #1 tells me the team improves every week. It is time for Nana and Papa to check that out. Friday night was Youth Basketball Night at the high school. The 4th and 5th grade boys gave a short exhibition at halftime of the Varsity Game. Picture courtesy of his dad.

Your Escape Into A Good Book Travel Agent
You have so many nice books in your haul! I hope you enjoy them.
My Sunday Post.
I have been having blog issues too, and have to switch from server to server to get all the comments in. WordPress is giving me problems with comments! Have a good week.
I have The Traitors waiting for me. I want to start it tonight. I hope you enjoy the basketball game!
My main trouble with my blog is that I can’t add pictures when I’m using Chrome and I can’t comment on other blogs when I’m using Safari. So what do I do?! I’m sorry you are having trouble, Lori. I do hope you are able to resolve things.
Good luck to Remi with basketball. I loved going to basketball games in the winter. I always felt sad for parents/grandparents of kids who were playing soccer in the cold.
I think blog/online issues is a common recurring theme for us bloggers. Seems like randomly stuff changes or we can’t do something we want to – and it takes so darn much time to figure it out!!! Good luck.
Enjoy your new influx of books – such bright covers!

Sorry to hear of the blog problems…
Glad you’re going to see grandson play…
I was having blog issues too and finally had my son move it to wordpress. So far it’s working great, I just need to learn how to get it the way I want it.
My granddaughter was on the basketball team at school from about 7th grade up. She loved playing. She was tall for her age.
I hope basketball was fun! Have a good week, and I hope you get some tech support!
