HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
A much busier week around here last week.
Sunday I was able to check in with all the grandkids and give them their Easter treats. It was a windy but beautiful day to get out of the house. We caught the boys driving a truck through the field at the other grandparent’s house. Pretty good too for being just 15 and 10. I am told the 10-year-old is the better driver. LOL Natalie was about to take a bike ride with her mom when we arrived but we did get to spend some quality time with them. Charlotte and her parents had plans for the day too but we arrived before they left. It was pretty perfect timing all the way around.
With the nice weather, I was finally able to meet our new neighbors and their brand new beautiful daughter. She is so cute.
Mr. Dollycas also enjoy the warmer temps to take out the poinsettias from the outside flower boxes and baskets and filled them with artificial spring flowers. We have been just terrible at keeping plants alive in them since we moved here. I am waiting to see if anything we planted in the beds comes back this year. Mr. Dollycas did make an interesting discovery in one of the baskets. A nest of baby birds. We have left that one totally alone until they fly off.
The beautiful weather also means Kaden’s track meets have started. He throws the discus and the shot put. We haven’t made it to a meet yet but his dad takes excellent pictures and videos that make me feel like I was right there. The picture above was from Wednesday, then on Friday the team participated in the 10-team Mayville Track Invite and won! I hope we get to attend a meet in person soon.
Thursday night Mr. Dollycas and I finished the Peanuts puzzle. We thought we had lost one piece but as he was cleaning up he found it and was able to place that final piece. It was fun, aggravating, and a good test for our brains. The faces were the hardest because each character is used several times. We hate to take it apart but will eventually when we find a new puzzle that catches our fancy.
Yesterday we put chairs out on the porch setting up the perfect place for a little reading whenever I have time.
Talking about all this perfect weather. It’s now raining! I was hoping to relax on the porch as soon as I finished this post. Oh wait, the sun is back! For goodness sake, the forecast is for rain Saturday night and today and SNOW on Monday. I love Wisconsin, you can experience all 4 seasons in one day this time of year.
How was your week?

We had to turn on the air conditioner yesterday, and we woke up to a 60 degrees morning. Completely unexpected. And, wow, snow coming for you.
I’m glad you got to visit with all your grandkids. Your timing was really good Sunday!
I love family time and it sounds like you had a great Easter! I hope you get to Kaden’s track meet soon. Wow, your weather is going to be all over the place. Ours is pretty much the same every day and I’m liking the warmer weather. Soon walking outside will feel like walking into a sauna and I never look forward to that.
I forgot to say that those baby birds are adorable!
so glad your Easter Week worked out so well for you and your family…
Alaska has been having mostly snow daily, including a big dump on Easter!
Very cool to have birds nesting where you can see them…hope you get pictures of them when they hatch…
We had the air on ourselves this week. Today the heat is on as its very windy and 39. Ugh. I will be so happy when things stay warmer. Your Easter sounds lovely. I love the nest discovery!
The Third Nanny looks creepy. I’ll have to look for that!

Your family pictures are lovely! Yes, sounds like perfect timing! Ah, how sweet to leave the baby birds in peace!
Puzzle are definitely good for our cerebral activity! Hmmm….maybe I should get some for my parents – and for myself! 😊
This first part of the year, I’m focusing on the Alphabet Soup Challenge and having a great time! This year I got those pesky letters out of the way first!
Have a great reading week!
