HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
It was quite a week.
If it’s summer that means SOFTBALL! Monday right after work Daughter #2 and I headed off to catch Natalie’s double header. We arrived just after the game started and Miss Natalie was pitching. All the girls played well in both games but let me tell you it was not summer weather. Many spectators were wearing winter coats and I was wearing a hoodie sweatshirt and wrapped in a blanket.
When we arrived home we had some house guests. Son #2 and his family are moving to a new place but had to be out of their old place before they could move into the new one so they are staying with friends while Kovu, a chow chow with a summer haircut, and Thor, the bearded dragon, are staying with us. They will be moving into the new house soon and I am sure their pets will be happy to be back with their people.
I had issues with Amazon and GoodReads all week as did many others. Some issues have been resolved but others are still pending. With both sites owned by Amazon, it is understandable that they would be updating and making changes at the same time but it was a crazy couple of days. Amazon’s Advanced Search still isn’t working right. I hope it gets fixed soon. You don’t realize how much you use something until it is broken.
I also added two books to my Best Reads of 2023 list this week writing reviews of Muddled Matrimonial Murder by Kim Davis and Death Knells and Wedding Bells by Eva Gates. I read both books in one sitting staying up until the early morning hours until I turned the last pages. These are two of my favorite series and I anxiously await each new release and then just can’t savor them, I devour them.
Kaden and Remi arrived Friday night to attend a very special event yesterday. I will tell you about it next week.
How was your week?

Happy Father’s Day!!
Funny thing: I did not notice the problems with amazon at all. I didn’t even know they had an advanced search! I tried to use Goodreads, but I wasn’t impressed.
best, mae at maefood.blogspot.com
Yep, I had those issues with Goodreads and Amazon too! Hope you have a good week!

I use Amazon every day and Goodreads often and didn’t even know they were having problems. I wonder why it was messed up for some people and not others?
I hope you have a great week and enjoy your cute house guests!
We are experiencing triple digits here on the Texas Gulf Coast. I can’t imagine wearing a hoodie. Even when there is wind or a breeze, it is a hot, humid one.
Ugggh…I hate it when Goodreads and Amazon act up. It makes it hard to get anything done. Hope you have a great week!

Lori, when I saw that picture of you in the hoodie, I thought it must be an old photo! I can’t imagine it being so cold in the middle of June that you need a coat!
I didn’t notice any problems on Amazon or Goodreads, but I’m not sure I posted any reviews last week.
