HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
My week started out with me forgetting I had an appointment for a mammogram on Monday morning. I felt so stupid when they called. It has now been rescheduled for this Wednesday afternoon. I hope with it being in the afternoon I will not forget and get there on time.
What a difference a week makes. Last weekend was fabulous and warm. This Friday when we went to Kaden’s game it was cold, drizzling on and off, and the wind was brutal. What definitely needed more layers. The game got off to a rocky start too. The teams were both evenly matched and the opponent was undefeated. By the time the 4th quarter started Mr. Dollycas and I were freezing and made the decision to leave early. As we were getting to the parking lot we heard a lot of cheering, the Cardinals had scored, and I got a little upset with myself for leaving early. Daughter #1 kept us posted, the Cards had scored again late in the quarter to get the win 35-28. Kaden had some great plays that we missed as well. The good thing is the game is on YouTube so I can go and watch the 4th quarter any time. I tried right when we got home and of course, our internet was down yet again. Someday Spectrum will get it together and actually fix our issue.
Saturday morning we bundled up and went to watch Thomas play football. He has been playing for a few weeks and this week we attended along with Daughter #1 and her family. Thomas was so happy to see Kaden and Remi for the 2nd week in a row. I loved that it is the Varsity football players coaching these kids. They earn some extra credit and the boys are thrilled to have them coach.
Saturday afternoon we traveled to Remi’s football game. Again we added extra layers as that even with the bright sun, the wind was still wicked. The teams were again evenly matched and they all played great. The scoring at this level is crazy but Remi’s team came up short. Nana is a little worried because Remi limped off the field when the game was done. He said he hurt his knee on the turf. His parents are keeping an eye on it. I am sure he will be ready for his last game of the year next week.
It was also a week of reading, writing reviews, and book tours. October and November are going to be plum full of tours so Mr. Dollycas and I will be very busy. I am so happy that he has come on board to help me out with the promoting the tours and making the giveaway widgets. It gives me the time to take off to follow the grandkids and he actually enjoys it.
Sadly, there are fewer action shots this week due to cold hands.
How was your week?

Wish I could stay in my pjs and read all day. Great idea.
Lots of football for you. Wow. Sounds like we stole your warm weather. Sorry, I’m not giving it back.
Fall arrived here, too. I always think of it as football weather, even though it’s been decades since I attended a game.
It seems like it always takes me a while to adjust to the cooler weather and remember exactly how many layers that I need for a particular event at a particular temperature.
We are headed to Chicago next weekend, and my eyes got big when I saw what the temps are expected to be. And here we have (finally!) just had our first cool front.
The football is so much fun for you and it keeps you so busy. It’s great your husband is helping with the blog.
The weather turned cold here in South Carolina too. I was actually tempted to turn the heat on last night. lol. But that’s how i think of going to Football games, in the crisp weather. I also think we should have a stay in your PJ’s and read day! It would be very popular I think! Have a great week! Suzanne (Chick with Books)
As they say, timing is everything…sounds as if you spent the week beating yourself up for things that can be easily remedied…stop that and enjoy the wins…
