HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
Last Sunday afternoon we went to watch Remi #34, play in a basketball tournament. It was only the second tournament of the year for these 5th graders. They started off forgetting almost everything they had learned. They settled down and improved in the second and third games. They ran their plays and played good defense but those boys had such a hard time following through and scoring. Those balls just would fall through those hoops. The third game was much closer than the others but losing is never easy and they were a bit discouraged. Daughter #1 is one of their coaches and unfortunately, she had to work that day but she Facetimed with us so we could use our phones as a camera and she could see the games and was able to coach from afar. There were two other coaches actually at the school. LOL It was pretty funny at times but she is so dedicated to helping them improve. They do not have any more games until after the holidays but they will keep practicing when they can over the holiday break.
Monday through Friday it was the normal reading, reviewing, and working on blog tours. We are always looking for new bloggers and bookstagramers to join the Great Escapes Team! We have other reviewing opportunities too. Our main genre is cozy mysteries but we do tours for romance, young adults, traditional mysteries, suspense, and more. Get the details and Sign Up Here! We have some great books touring in the new year and would love to add some new hosts to the team.
SHHH! Don’t tell my boss but while at the computer this week I took more than a few moments shopping for Christmas presents.
Yesterday, Daughter #2 and her boyfriend came up to help us with a few things around the house to get ready for the holidays and more. We sure appreciated all they did. Plus it was good to catch up with all that is happening in their lives. A lot of laughter filled the day too. The visit ended much too soon, but they will be back for our Christmas celebrations, and I can’t wait.
How was your week?

It sucks that the game was rough for the kids, but hopefully they learned a lot from it. Enjoy your Christmas celebrations!
Sometimes we do seem to forget everything we have learned until we get back into the flow of the game!
I hope you have another great year with your blog tours!
