A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received, and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
Winter reared its ugly head again last week and dropped about 6 -7 inches of heavy wet snow but as I type this yesterday it is 54 degrees outside and the snow has disappeared. I hope Mother Nature has finished her tantrums and the warm temps will stick around this time.
This little peanut (Athena) is now 8 months old and is crawling all over with some speed too, and is pulling herself up on anything stationary. I can’t believe how fast she is growing. These precious days go so fast. I know she wants to be running around with her brother and sister but I wish she would only grow every other day to slow things down.
I lost a good friend last week. We knew each other in high school, she was 2 years ahead of me. We belonged to the same church with children of similar ages. We became close after my accident when I started working as treasurer for the church. She always had a smile on her face, some kind of cool project she was working on, or a fun story to tell. When my position at the church was taken away from me (long story) she was a warrior. She had my back, made me smile when all I wanted to do was cry, and helped me get a little focus on what was important and what I wanted to do next. When we had to move away (another long story) our visits turned into phone calls and sadly became few and far between. We lost touch and I am so sorry for that. She was such a genuine person and a true friend. The world is a little less bright without her in it. She will be missed so much by her family and friends.
