~ It’s a chance to share news~
A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received, and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
We had a very entertaining evening last Saturday. Our granddaughter Natalie played Lady Rowena in her school’s production of Once Upon A Mattress (The Princess and the Pea). They have been working hard for months for the three performances last weekend. We are beyond proud of her.
Then, yesterday, 3 of my girls and I went to the bridal shower for my soon-to-be legal niece. She and my nephew have been dating for a long time and he finally proposed last May. We don’t get together with that side of the family as much as we would like so it was so good to see everyone, at least the females. I can’t wait for their big day when the men will be there too.
Update on the Google ads – I seem to have gotten rid of the ads that were populating my posts. They should only be at the top and sidebars with the occasional popup. You may also notice a blue text box popping in from the right on certain posts. This is the experiment I agreed to so that the ads in the posts disappeared. It focuses on keywords like the author’s name or the book’s title. If you click on it, you will see posts related to the keywords on my blog or the internet. I am hoping this will be less intrusive. Please feel free to let me know your opinion in the comments.

I guess I hit the popup ad button by mistake and was quite surprised — but the refresh button made it go away.
How great to be at a traditional bridal shower with women only! With any luck maybe there’s one in my near future. A wedding has been announced (same relationship as yours).

My niece is having a baby shower in a couple of weeks that I was planning to help host, but I ended up having a conflict with a surprise 50th anniversary party in Chicago. I will figure out a way to make it up to Livi.
Natalie looks lovely! Very fun!
Sounds like you had a great time! Everyone looks so happy in the photos.
It’s one of the best bits about being part of an extended family – being able to celebrate the high points in the youngsters’ lives. Such a privilege. Your granddaughter looks lovely and I hope the coming week is a great one:)).
Congratulations to your granddaughter! It looks to have been a wonderful production!
So glad you had the opportunity and under such happy circumstances…a favor? Could you identify the ladies standing with you in the photos, please?
