A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received, and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
I have a follow-up to my post from last week about our power outage. The utility company posted pictures on Facebook. We are so grateful for these utility people and their diligent work. As my nephew said, “that tree made a real mess”.
This week was much quieter. Some sun, some rain, but nothing like the storms we had last week.
Friday night was the perfect night to watch a little baseball. Grandson Remington decided this year he wanted to play baseball and for this being his 1st game ever he did really well. He played in right field, left field, second base, and third base where he made a beautiful play. Mr. Dollycas played baseball all through school and even tried out for a major league team before heading to college, so he gets a real kick out of seeing his grandchildren play. Remi’s team won 13-6!
Then since we were in the area we had to stop to pick up our favorite pizza from Pizza Pit.
How was your week?

When you see photos like the ones you posted today about the destruction the tree caused—well, I feel grateful that the tree didn’t come down on people and cause human destruction. I also feel grateful to the power company for their work.
Your family certainly has some sporty genes!
Power outages are so annoying! After a run of quite a few of them, we had a generator installed several years ago, which gives us basic electric usage when the Electric Company messes up. That tree you showed looks amazing in the way it split and completely disintegrated, and not the fault of the utility. Good luck with no more outages.
best, mae at maefood.blogspot.com
Glad the power company got everyone restored. WE lost a lot of branches, but no trees in our yard. Now the community is another story. Yay for baseball season and pizza.
Power crews never get the consideration they deserve…so dedicated and brave…I thank them and am happy your power company posted photos…
Lets hear it for Remi! Congratulations!
Wow that kind of scary but glad it all good now. Body in a bookstore sounds interesting. Have a great week.
