HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
Well, all the grandchildren are back at school. Thomas and Charlotte started last week. Tuesday Kaden started his junior year, Natalie started 7th grade, and Remington started 6th grade.
Tuesday evening we attended Thomas’s soccer game. The team of first graders are learning more of the basics and is so much fun to watch. New for us, Son #2 and his fiancee are coaching his team. A little stressful but they enjoy it.
After the game, we and others were snapping a few pictures and corraling the children. We started making our way to the parking lot, me on my scooter, Mr. Dollycas with his upright walker, Athena being pushed in her stroller and several walking only to see as we got closer that the gate had been closed and locked and none of us had a key. There was a turnstile walk-through but no way was the stroller, scooter, or walker getting through. We tried to call someone from the league but got voice mail so we called the local police. He was a nice officer but he didn’t have a key that worked. So he called the Department of Public Works and he had a lot of keys, thankfully one that worked. So, all in all, an hour was added to our evening out telling crazy stories while we waited to be freed from our cage. LOL
The Cardinals played away on Friday night but the coaches are still taking it easy on Kaden after his concussion, so he only played late in the 4th quarter. The funny thing, he did play on the Junior Varsity team Tuesday night to get some action and hits to check his tolerance. He sacked the quarterback on the first play. We weren’t there but according to his dad, he played most of the game, he didn’t miss a step, had some great tackles and after the sack, he was double and triple-teamed the whole game. The pictures below are from the JV game, he is #79. I hope the Varsity coaches realize he is ready to play and deserves his position back.
Yesterday I had a wonderful day shopping with Daughter #1 and Son #2’s fiancee for their wedding dresses. We had appointments at 2 places. Both girls found dresses they liked at the first store. Both were gorgeous. My future daughter-in-law’s looked like it had been made just for her and she lit up wearing it. We went to the second appointment and she couldn’t find anything close to the dress at the other store. My daughter on the other hand tried on several and it came down to 2. One was perfect for her in my eyes, it made me cry, but I had to let her make the choice. She said YES! to first one she tried at this store, the one I loved. On the way home we stopped by the first shop and picked up my future daughter-in-law’s dress and came home with 2 very happy brides-to-be. No pictures today. Stay tuned both weddings are in October!

Goodness! I’m glad someone was finally had a key!
What fun to shop for wedding dresses! I did not have a daughter, but I did go shopping with my daughter-in-law and that was fun. I look forward to seeing the photos in October.
