A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received, and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!

The weather was nice mid-week, we even broke a record on Thursday hitting 50 degrees. I was able to go to the cancer center to receive my Zometa infusion without fear of frostbite. But like 6 months ago my magnesium count was low so after the Zometa infusion I needed a magnesium infusion and that had to run super slow which meant my 90-minute appointment lasted over 4 hours. At least I had a book to read.
We had the joy of watching Natalie play basketball this week literally 5 minutes from our house. She wasn’t sure if she was going to play school basketball after missing almost the whole recreation basketball season with a broken finger but they were short on players and her friends convinced her to join the team. The 8th grade team was short on players too so the 7th graders play in those games too.
We are so glad she decided to play because she is fierce on both offense and defense. She made a 3-point shot that was picture-perfect on her 1st shot and scored throughout the whole game. All the girls have grown so much I almost didn’t recognize a few. The first game was really close. We were holding our breath as our girls won 40-39.
In the second game, the 7th-grade girls rotated in to help the few 8th-graders. That game was a walk away with us winning 26 to 12. That game moved much faster as the girls can press the entire court. This gives the 7th graders real experience they will need next year. Both games were fun to watch. We hope to make it to her games this week too.

I’m glad it warmed up there and you were able to get some things done that needed doing. And you got to see Natalie play basketball. That’s fantastic. We’re going next weekend to see Annie play. I’m looking forward to that.
I had to save your cartoon about reading and doing housework!
Four hours is a long appointment! One thing about us readers, though, we always have a way to entertain ourselves.
Basketball looks fun at that age. We’re going to games of a 4th grade great-nephew. It’s fun, but the games are a bit slow.
so much fun to watch the kids play…glad you had the chance!
