A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received, and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
It was another busy week of blogging and book tours.
Last weekend I binge-watched Fool Me Once, a Netflix mini-series based on Harlan Coben’s 2016 thriller of the same name. I have read and enjoyed every one of his books and those adapted for mini-series have all been well done and this one followed suit. You can watch the trailer below.
His new book Nobody’s Fool will be released on March 25. It takes place a year later and features the same detective. I have the ARC cued up on my Paperwhite and will be reviewing it soon.
Tuesday I had my yearly Medicare check. My blood sugar still is a little high but we are working on that. Mr. Dollycas also had the doctor look at his knee. He has had pain for a few months and finally decided to do something about it. The X-rays weren’t pretty. A lot of arthritis and degeneration. Long story short he is meeting with an orthopedic surgeon this week.
We were able to go watch Natalie play basketball. She plays on both the 7th and 8th grade teams. At the end of the first half of the 7th grade game, we were up 25 -1. We stepped out for a quick bathroom break and when we returned the 8th grade game had started. We were confused. Did the other team forfeit because of the score? We quickly found out that like our girls, the other team doesn’t have enough 8th graders to field a team so their 7th grade players play both games. So instead of having them play 2 full games the coaches agreed to start the new game at the half. Our girls won the second game too 43-24.
Remi has had a break in his basketball season. He plays again this weekend. The same with Thomas and his wrestling. We hope their events are at different times so we can attend both.
We had significant snowfall on Friday and Saturday. Still nothing like when we were kids. Son #2 and his family dropped by to make sure we were okay and I collected all the hugs I could get.

My g-daughter, Annie, went to a school that didn’t have enough girls for a 3rd-4th grade team, so she had to find a nearby town where she could play!
Sending good thoughts for your husband.
Sorry to hear about the Mr.’s knee. It’s nice that your family stopped by. Nice book acquisitions. Have a great week!
I hope your husband’s knee can get sorted out, and well done you for a good-ish healthcheck
Have a great week.
Sounds like a solid week full of ups and downs and more ups! I’m glad you got some cuddles in <3
Cozy mysteries have such great names. Good luck to your husband with his knee.
