~ It’s a chance to share news~
A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received, and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!

Our week started out with Mr. Dollycas setting up all the appointments necessary for his knee replacement surgery, which is set to take place on May 5. That was the first available date and it gives us time to plan for the time off and any assistance we may need. With all the delivery services available I am sure we will be just fine. Following the surgery, there will be several weeks of rehab but he is very excited about the possibility of being more mobile.
Yesterday Daughter #2 and I were delighted to attend the baby shower for Natalie’s mom. I am so blessed to have her as a bonus daughter, and I could not be happier for her and her significant other, another wonderful addition to our family. Time is flying and we all can’t wait until “Jellybean” makes her arrival. Natalie is so excited to be a big sister.
Politics continued to be disturbing this week, but Friday afternoon’s fiasco was horrifying and heartwrenching. Our country and our democracy are in trouble but will any of our Republican representatives take action? With them in charge of all branches of government, it is up to them. We are making our voices heard at protests, town halls, phone calls, texts, and emails, but are they listening? We have to keep up the pressure, there is too much at stake.

Monday – My Reading Itinerary Monday! – Week #9 – 2025
Thank you for speaking out and giving info. On where we can hopefully make a difference. Will they listen? One can only hope and keep trying.
I love reading your Sunday Salon. I have been following you for years.
I am continuing to send emails but my representatives have stopped replying. Sigh.
Congratulations to Natalie’s mom! It will be fun for Natalie to be a big sister.
Good luck to Mr. Dollycas! I hope the surgery makes it easier for him to move. Knee problems suck.
I find it disturbing to see what is happening from afar. I can’t imagine what it must be like to be living in the US at the moment.
Have a good week.
I’m glad that Mr. Dollycas is looking forward to the benefits of the surgery and not dreading everything. Your new arrivals look fun. Have a wonderful week!
