~ It’s a chance to share news~
A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received, and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
Much of the news this week was filled with flooding in the area from last Saturday’s storms. We were in a pocket where the rain came, but not as hard and fast as it did in other parts of the state. The pictures below were taken in Milwaukee as people were trying to leave the state fair.

This video was also shot in Milwaukee.
These totals were posted last Sunday.
14.35 inches is a lot of rain!

Yesterday was also a day full of thunderstorms that shut down our county fair. They are hoping that the 38 Special concert will be held, but it sure won’t be starting on time, and the ground is really saturated.
A good thing from yesterday is that football season has started for Remington. They had a scrimmage game today to kick things off, and it was completed shortly before the storms arrived. Remi told me the ride home with his dad was interesting in the wind and rain.

My grandson is six, and he is constantly talking about wanting to play football. As a mom, I discouraged my kids from playing, but I suspect he will talk his parents into it. I wonder if you worry about your family playing football. I am just a worrywart, I think.
The flooding is crazy!
Man! That IS a LOT of rain, glad you escaped relatively unscathed!
