HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
The highlight of my entire week was meeting my new grandson just a couple of hours after his birth. All of our children now have children of their own.

Korbyn Kristopher Jaymes (with two middle names in honor of both his uncles) pushed his way into the world last Saturday at 6:54 p.m., weighing 9 lbs 3 oz, measuring 22 inches long, and with a head full of dark hair. His mother had quite a time. She went in on Thursday evening to be induced, with her coaches, Daughter #1 and Daughter-in-law #2, but whatever they did didn’t work.
They spent Friday trying different things, and the girls were getting frustrated. Finally, on Saturday, she started having contractions, and her water broke around 2 p.m., and then things started to move. Nana, Papa, and the rest of the family were receiving updates and anxiously waiting for the big notification that he had arrived.

When we got the call to come, we rushed right out. Son #2 with Charlie and Athena did the same. It was past visiting hours, but we were all allowed in and stayed for a couple of hours. Daughter-in-Law #2 went home with her family, and we left a little later. Daughter #1 stayed the night with her sister to help with whatever she needed.
She went home early on Sunday to bring Remi back to meet his new cousin. Kaden was at work. Then mommy enjoyed a little private time with her son, with nurses standing by. She did great.

On Monday, the little guy and his mommy came home.

Korbyn is a wonderful addition to our family. We are truly blessed. Only one problem; he is an awesome distraction when I should be working or reading. But I am loving every minute of it! Oh, and October 4th was his original due date, so he arrived on Korbyn time, not mommy or doctor time. 10-4 Little Buddy 10-4
