I was up reading late Friday night when I received an alert on my phone that the US was bombing Venezuela. Needless to say, it upset me, and sleep didn’t come soon. It is going to be interesting and scary as this and all the other chaos plays out. Thankfully, I have plenty of books to read when I want to escape reality.
The past week was my holiday break from Great Escapes Book Tours, which allowed me to close out 2025 and get everything set up for 2026. There are never enough hours in the day, so I still have some things to do, but I made a good dent. Being off also allowed me to focus on my Blogoversary. I started blogging on December 31, 2009, so I have now entered by 17th year of blogging about books. I celebrated with 5 days of giveaways. The final one today. I have my phone set to silence at night (except for alerts from my dad) because I do not want my sleep disturbed. I was upset all day after I heard about the strikes, and I am still upset. I do not know what to do, but I plan to take action.
