HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
Tuesday afternoon, Natalie had a basketball game right here in town, so Mr. Dollycas and I took Charlie with us to see her play. What I love about watching this team is how well they play together. All the years of practice really shows. The other team was ahead at half-time, but then these girls started to play like a well-oiled machine. The passes were crisper and while every play didn’t end with baskets, the ones that did were amazing. One of the girls was on fire with 3-point shots, others were landing their layups, and rebounds were snagged. Final score was 40-26.

We didn’t find out until after the game that Natalie was fighting a cold. Heck, if she played that well sick, watch out when she’s healthy. The season is winding down already. We plan to attend her game on Tuesday and possibly her last game on Thursday.
After we got home from the game, I was ready to relax and read, but my Kindle Paperwhite had different ideas. No matter which book I chose, I received an error message saying the book was “no longer available on the device”. I could see them all on Amazon, and they opened on my phone, so I knew the problem was with the Paperwhite. I tried resending the book I wanted to read, but that didn’t work. I restarted the device several times, and Mr. Dollycas recycled the internet and wifi, and I tried again. Nope. Dr. Google and Edge AI said to deregister and reregister the device. I did that 3 times, and nothing happened. By then, I was ready to throw it, but I put it down, and after finding my Kindle Fire dead as a doornail (can’t remember the last time I used it), I started reading on my phone.

Wednesday was a new day with promise. I put a post up on Facebook asking for help. A friend suggested I take the Paperwhite back to Factory Settings. I had read several things about doing that as a last resort the night before and I was a chicken. But in the light of day, I knew I had nothing to lose. And IT WORKED! Thank God! Mr. Dollycas was tiptoeing around me all morning and was ready to order a new one. LOL Don’t come between a woman and her reading addiction.

I’m glad you got to see Natalie and her team play so well.
And thank goodness you were able to get your Kindle going again. Nothing is more frustrating than when the technology that’s supposed to help us save time and do things better doesn’t save time and doesn’t do things better.
