HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
Here at home, it was a normal, quiet week. Korbyn turned 5 months old and has officially outgrown his bassinet. After a trip to the doctor for that good old Amoxicillin, he is getting better, but Papa and Nana woke up yesterday with scratchy throats and bones more achy than usual. Hopefully, we can fight through it. The weather has been unusual, with some warmer temperatures that brought in a range of thunderstorms on Friday night. I do love listening to the rain and thunder as long as I don’t have to go out in it.

Grandson Thomas was honored to be named one of the February Students of the Month at his school.

As for what’s happening in the world and across the US, it physically hurts my heart. I am trying to keep up with what’s happening and move on to something else, because it’s become overwhelming. I know it is important to stay engaged, but I firmly believe we need to listen to our bodies and step back when necessary. The bombing that killed all the school children hit me very hard. I look at my grandchildren and think it could happen to them. You never know when or where retaliation could happen. So when it is time to escape from it all for a short time, I can reach for a book and change my focus.

The world (and the USA) has been weighing heavy on my heart as well, and just as you said, falling into the pages of a book is sometimes the best balm for my weary soul. Go gently with yourself and hug your babes close. We truly never know what will come next, all we have is this moment <3 Hope the week ahead offers up some bright spots of joy for all of us.
Congratulations to your grandson!
I remember Amoxicillin. We called it the Pink Stuff.
My heart is hurting, too.
