HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!

Last Sunday, Remi wrapped up basketball for the season. They played 3 games in a tournament against some of some bigger schools in the area. While the games didn’t go their way, they were close. I think the few weeks they had off with no tournaments and just practices got them out of sync. There were a lot of fouls. Remi even fouled out just before the 3rd game ended, and that has never been close to happening before. Balls weren’t swooshing through the nets as expected, and the other teams couldn’t miss. The boys were getting frustrated. They need to remember they had a great season. Now, with basketball behind them, they can get on to Spring sports. Remi hasn’t decided if he is going to play baseball or try track. He is a natural at baseball, which makes his Papa very happy, but this is the time to try new things, so we will see what he decides.

Last Monday, the weather here was beautiful. It reached 69 degrees, and the sun was shining. I wish I had more time to enjoy it. Now, just a few days later, we are bracing for a huge winter storm. It began Thursday night with high winds, which continued into Friday morning. My mother-in-law heard a thump at about 5:30 am and later found this.

We had everything pretty well stored here, but others nearby had to chase down garbage containers and other items they put out during the “false Spring” days. Someone even found their garden shed several houses away.
According to the forecast, snow will begin here tonight (Saturday) around 10 pm and continue into Monday morning. Mr. Dollycas says he’ll believe it when he sees it. Recent forecasts have not been very accurate. We will wait to see what Mother Nature brings.

Last week, after another frustrating error with Wordle, I quit. I played on Tuesday, March 10. Like I do every day, I posted about it on Facebook. Wednesday, when I signed in, my streak was gone, and it welcomed me to start a new one. It’s bad enough when I screw up, and don’t get the word and have to start over, but the game taking the streak away is nuts. I can’t remember how long the streak was, but it has been over 150 – 200 days since I made a stupid guess that cost me the streak. Before that, I was over 300 days when the game did the same thing it did this time. I took this as a sign to quit playing. I am sure I can find a good way to spend those few minutes each day.

Stay warm from the snow. We just finished up basketball season with the Royals. Now all three are getting excited about baseball. Have a great week.
I go through phases of giving up games. Sometimes I go back but sometimes I don’t!
Have a great week!
