HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
We went from a blizzard at the beginning of the week to almost 70 degrees yesterday. The snow is gone except where it was plowed into piles.
Friday night, Kaden had his first track meet of the year, only about 20 minutes from our house, so Nana, Papa, Kaden’s mom, and Korbyn (Korbyn’s mom had a meeting she had to attend) were happy to make the trip. The nearby college has a wonderful indoor facility; in fact, it was where Remi played his last basketball tournament. Kaden throws the shot put and the discus, but the discus cannot be thrown indoors. While waiting for his “Flight” to throw, there was so much going on around us, pole vault, long jumps, and races on the track. This was my first time going to one of his meets. He always said not to come because his events go so quickly and there is a lot of waiting, but I had a great time and hope to attend several, as it is his Senior year. We will be attending Remi’s track meets, too.
Kaden wasn’t really happy with his distance, but for the first meet, everyone agreed it was pretty good.

I’ve never been to a track meet, though my sons did some events when they were young. They told me the same thing: everything goes fast when it finally happens after a lot of waiting! Glad you had such a good time.
