Well, on Tuesday I went for my MRI. It was a long day because I needed to be sedated. We left here about 7:30 and got back home at 4:30. We stopped to pick up pizza, a tradition when we go that way; I was starving. I remember transferring to the MRI table and then waking up in the recovery room. No stress, I felt great. The rest of the week, I was dragging a bit. Not sure if it was from losing a day of my medications or if I was just tuckered out from the change in my schedule. The MRI showed no infection but some fluid that can be drained from the wound. Surprisingly, since Tuesday, the small pocket of fluid has disappeared, and even the wound is smaller. Now, I wait to hear from the surgeon. We have a virtual visit scheduled on the 14th. I hope and pray he can drain it if needed and close it up permanently. My job is to keep my balance and not fall or bang the elbow into anything until then.
An EF3 tornado touched down in Menasha, Wisconsin, north of where we live. We had thunderstorms and high winds, but there, the tornado caused horrific damage. A childhood friend lost their family home. The whole area around her home was devastated. “This was a very wide tornado, wider than 1 mile at the very least. It had a very large wind field and was on the ground for 26 minutes Monday, carving a 12.1-mile path that reached up to 1,500 yards wide. No injuries or deaths were reported.” Since then, communities, churches, school sports teams, businesses, and more have rallied to help. The cleanup continues; rebuilding will take a long time. AccuWeather Extreme Meteorologist Dr. Reed Timmer has been reporting all week. The video below is from him as he was traveling to the area.

Oh, man, I used to get sedated for MRIs. It was such a miserable experience. Eventually I just started… medicating myself for them.. LOL and it helped (I have MS so I get them fairly regularly)
I hope your medical stuff goes well and you get good answers. The tornado is awful. I pray for those suffering from it.

I hope that you are able to keep your balance and not bang your elbow. My daughter-in-law reported recently on an awful tornado that hit part of Chicago. Oh my. I think of tornadoes being part of our lives here in Texas, but I didn’t realize they sometimes hit hard up your way.
