HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
Last weekend I took some time away from my computer for some family fun.
On Saturday, we went to one of my happy places, Shalom Wildlife Sanctuary. It really is a wonderful place. I would go every weekend if I could. At this time of year, you can walk or take a golf cart. We get two golf carts: one for me and Mr. Dollycas, and the other for those who need a break from walking. LOL. The weather was perfect, about 70 degrees, a bit overcast, with just a couple of minutes of misty raindrops.

It was time to check on the tigers born last August, and the ones from her first litter, who lost their mom a few months ago. She was a white tiger. The brass cat is a memorial to her.

The two white tigers that were born a couple of weeks ago are being bottle-fed and cared for by humans because their mom had no idea what to do with them and, strangely, never produced any milk. They won’t be out in the zoo for a little bit yet, but the zoo owner posts pictures of them regularly on Facebook.
Speaking of the owner, Father Nature, Mr. Dollycas, Remi and I had the pleasure of meeting him out on the trail. It made my day! I told him how much we love his zoo and how much we appreciate what he does and shares with us every day. It’s a good thing Remi was with us; the rest of the family was pretty skeptical, especially because I didn’t get a picture. He says the best time to come to the sanctuary is during the cooler months and on rainy days. The animals love that weather, but they were very active while we were there.
Big kids and littles had a blast. Sadly, we were missing one family, but we are ready to go back with them whenever they want.

Facebook AI made a movie poster out of our family shot. Too funny.

On Sunday, we attended Charlotte’s and Athena’s birthday party. It was held at a friend of Son #2’s family. Their backyard was beautiful and peaceful, even with all the kids running around. It was so relaxing and just what I needed. This summer went by so fast, and I didn’t spend enough time enjoying it. After we returned home, I felt rejuvenated and had the best night’s sleep I have had in a long time.

The rest of the week, I kept busy reading, writing reviews, and playing with Korbyn.
