HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
Last Saturday, Thomas had football in the morning, and Remi had a game at noon. Nana was feeling a little under the weather, so Papa, Korbyn, and his mom went without me, but kept me well informed. Thomas’s day started with practice followed by the game. His team was playing well when Papa, Auntie, and Korby left to make it to Remi’s game. Soon, after they left, Thomas scored 2 touchdowns and intercepted a ball at the goal line.

My crew arrived on time to watch Remi play. He started great, caught a pass, and ran it in for a touchdown. The next play, he had a really hard hit and came to the sideline to follow concussion protocol. He was back in the game after halftime, but after the start of the 4th quarter, he made an awesome tackle. According to Mr. Dollycas, you could hear the other guy’s helmet hit Remi’s shoulder pad. Remi got up slowly, holding his right arm, and was in a lot of pain. His mom quickly packed up; she knew they were headed to urgent care. The X-rays showed a probable injury in the growth plate area. He was given a sling, a sheet of exercises, and told to take ibuprofen for the pain. His mom was told to make an appointment with an orthopedic doctor. They see him tomorrow.

Thursday, Natalie had a home volleyball meet, about 30 minutes away. She’s now a freshman, so she plays in the big gym, a place we spent many hours watching her aunts and uncle play. We met Daughter #1 and Remi there, along with Natalie’s family, including her other set of grandparents. The first set was close; it finished with her team losing 25-27, but they won the following 2 sets.

While we were watching Natalie, Daughter #2 and Korbyn went to Thomas’s soccer game. Her only report was “they won”. LOL
Thomas’s football game was rained out yesterday. Remi went to watch his teammates play. He said it was “not good”.
