No earth shattering news this week 🙂 It’s cooling off weather wise, high have just been in the 70’s. Sherlock is still getting a little better day by day. I did go to the doctor this week to talk about getting a power wheelchair as walking any distance at all is getting harder and harder. It would be great to be a little more independent and maybe venture outside without the fear of falling. As usual my grandkids always make me smile. Kaden was here for the weekend and Natalie is growing so fast. In December Kaden will become a big brother and we are all excited to welcome another baby.

Week In Review

Monday – Taking a break from Mondays Music Moves Me but couldn’t start the week without It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? After I posted it this week I realized I had forgotten to add And When She Was Good by Laura Lippman to my planned reading for the week and I am hosting a virtual blog stop this Thursday. I read it right away on Tuesday but still want to complete what I had planned so today will be a full reading day for me.

Tuesday – I reviewed Sweet Talk by Julie Garwood. Fantastic story!

Wednesday – Rochelle Staab was my guest for Cozy Wednesday. Her latest Mind for Murder Mystery, Bruja Brouhaha is a really clever cozy.

Thursday – I reviewed Tana French’s new novel Broken Harbor. I was so excited to read this story but about halfway through the book just fell apart for me. I started to just skim the pages to get to the end. The main character started making unbelievable choices and I barely finished the book. It seems people either loved this story or hated. Sadly it just wasn’t for me.

Friday – Author Hillel Damron was my guest for his Virtual Blog Tour of his book Unidentified Woman. His guest post was very interesting and I really enjoyed the book.

Saturday – I reviewed the first book in a series of Novellas by John Dalglish. Where’s My Son? is the story of a man who lost his wife to cancer. his son to a kidnapper, and he  just snaps and will go to extreme lengths to find his son.

I have been taking part the Summer Wrap Up Read-a-Thon but real life keeps cutting into my reading time. This keeps happening every time I sign up for these read-a-thons. I may just skip the next one and see what happens 🙂

I may not have gotten as much read this week as I wanted but it was a jam packed week here blogging.

Tuesday – New Release Tuesday – A Fantastic Batch of Books Was Released!

Wednesday – Cozy Wednesday brought author Peg Cochran by for a visit. Allergic to Death (A Gourmet De-Lite Mystery) hit me on a personal level.

Wednesday was also the start date for Week #2 of the Iced Chiffon Giveaway. Author Duffy Brown is sponsoring Pre-Release Giveaways for 10 weeks! Be sure to enter. Iced Chiffon (A Consignment Shop Mystery) hits bookstores October 2.

Thursday – Author Maggie Sefton was my Special Guest. Her new book Deadly Politics (A Molly Malone Mystery) was released this week.

Friday – I reviewed The Inn at Rose Harbor by Debbie Macomber. It’s the start of a new series by still set in Cedar Cove, Washington. It is being released in stores Tuesday.

Saturday – I reviewed Cera’s Place by Elizabeth McKenna. She is a Wisconsin Author and this is her first novel. It is available on Kindle and Nook for just 99 cents!

Wednesday means Cozy Wednesday and it was a Very Special Pre-Release Promotion for Duffy Brown’s Iced Chiffon (A Consignment Shop Mystery) the comes out October 2, 2012. For the next ten weeks there will be special giveaways. Be sure to enter every week!!

Thursday – I reviewed Dead Man Waltzing: A Ballroom Dance Mystery that was released back in June.

I also did a promotion post for the book Sparkle by Denene Miller that is being released August 7, in time to read the book before you see the movie that comes out August 17.

Friday I continued my cozy catch up with a review of Threaded for Trouble (A Threadville Mystery) by Janet Bolin.

Saturday – The Summer Wrap-Up Read-a-Thon started. It runs through the 12th. I am not ready for Summer to end!

I also blogged about organizing my first Virtual Blog Tour. Tears Water the Seeds of Hope is a really inspiring true story. Sherlock Update: My kitty came home from the vet Monday afternoon. He was having trouble just moving. He was just like me, his right side wasn’t cooperating and he kept falling over. Fast Forward to today. He is walking around still favoring his right side but tipping much less often. He is jumping off the bed and into the recliner or window seat. He takes his medicine every morning and is eating like a champ. He is even wanting to play. Thank you for all the prayers. He is definitely on the mend.

Cozy Wednesday brought author Jenn McKinlay to visit. She takes her characters on a road trip in Red Velvet Revenge (Cupcake Bakery Mystery). We are giving away 2 copies!

Thursday
I reviewed Play Him Again (A Matt Hudson Novel) by Jeffrey Stone. This was a fun read!

Friday
I reviewed Plotting at the PTA by Lauren Alden. This is a fun cozy series set in Wisconsin in a fictional town not far from where I live.

Saturday
I reviewed my Just For Fun book for July, Swapping Paint (Stock Car Racing Mysteries) and the second book in the series too Hooked Up. The are by Joyce and Jim Lavene and had been on my wish list for quite awhile. Loved them and they went straight to my keeper shelf.
