informal week in review gathering place for bloggers.
It is also a place to share our thoughts about things of a bookish nature.

HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
Another year of football is in the books. All the kids played well. We lost yesterday 19 – 21 but they had a winning season and everyone is looking forward to next year. For Kaden and the rest of the 5th graders, next year means the end of flags and really tackling. Should be interesting. It was windy and chilly but we all had fun supporting the team and cheering for Diesel, aka Kaden. Because there is no school on Monday he came home with us and quickly hooked up with his FortNite friends on the Xbox 🙂 At least he is in the living room so I can see him having fun. Yeah, he is at the age where grandparents just smile and nod and try to grab a hug whenever we can. I stole several Remington hugs earlier today because he will be spending his no school Monday with his other grandma. Natalie was at the pumpkin patch today with her other set of grandparents. Pumpkins – they are on my agenda for next weekend.

My week started out great when the Milwaukee Brewers clinched the National League Central Division and are in the playoffs! Mr. Dollycas was so happy.
Then that evening we celebrated my BFF’S birthday with a surprise party here in Wisconsin. We had so much fun but the evening passed too quickly and they headed back to Kentucky early the next morning. I hope they can break away and head our way again soon. 
The week then kind of went downhill as I was caught up in all the political debauchery. I was ready to move on when Kaden arrived Friday evening so we could take him to his game yesterday. The rain passed over and the game was played but the field they played on was unreachable for me and my wheelchair. The ground was too wet and the gravel/dirt road was filled with huge puddles. Mr. Dollycas and Daughter #2 made the trek and witnessed Kaden have a great game, 3 Sacks! The game ended tied 13 – 13. While disappointed at missing the game, I did have my Kindle with me and finished one book and started another 🙂 Next week is the last game for the year and I know I can get to that field. I can hardly wait!
Miss Natalie arrived Friday evening and she traveled with us to Kaden’s away game on Saturday. It was a chilly day, about 48 degrees. I am just not ready for those temps. A t-shirt, sweater, and hoodie kept the top half of me warm, I am going to have a blanket if the weather sticks around for the last two weeks of games. Our team won again 20 – 6. Today, I hope to stay indoors with a good book as soon as I get my computer work done, maybe watch the Packer game too.
