by Holly Quinn
Great start to this new crafty cozy mystery series.
~Books a Plenty Book Reviews
A Crafter Knits a Clue is an engaging cozy mystery . . . I liked the author’s writing style (conversational) which made the story easy to read especially with its steady pacing.
~The Avid Reader
Holly Quinn knits together a cozy town, relatable characters, romantic tension, and a well-plotted mystery in the debut Handcrafted Mystery novel – A Crafter Knits a Clue.
~Reading Is My SuperPower
I enjoyed this book. It was easy to read and fits the bill of a traditional cozy mystery. It is full of small-town humor and charm.
~A Cozy Experience
I think the thing I liked best about this book is the caring relationships that Sammy has with so many family and friends. You can tell that the core characters love each other and enjoy spending time with each other.
~MJB Reviewers
One of the happiest aspects of Cozy Mystery is Community. The way in which a community meshes together, whether in normal circumstances or in the face of need, is heartwarming and inspiring.
~Mallory Heart’s Cozies
This series is off to a splendid start. The story has a real hometown feel with characters I want to get to know better . . .As a former crafter, I love the theme. All my cozy boxes were checked.
~Escape With Dollycas Into A Good Book
The author does a fabulous job of character building and scene setting without boring the audience. The characters were well thought out and crafted, almost as well as the mystery itself.
~ The Montana Bookaholic
The author gave us an intriguing web to untangle. There were a few different ways this storyline could have gone.
~Socrates’ Book Reviews…
Overall a very cozy feeling cozy mystery, and a nice start to a new series.
~The Book’s the Thing
A CRAFTER KNITS A CLUE is an excellent first in a series. Every time I had to set my book down, I was itching to get back to it. I definitely recommend it fans of cozy mysteries.
~Lisa K’s Book Reviews
I loved the mystery itself. However, I also love the community and setting Quinn has created. It is an atmosphere I am going to love coming back to again and again.
~Devilishly Delicious Book Reviews
The mystery aspect of A Crafter Knits a Clue is especially well done. There are a number of viable suspects and lots of little twists and turns.
~View from the Birdhouse
Holly Quinn does a wonderful job of introducing us to the Heartsford, WI community . . . I enjoyed the twists and turns this book took. There were a few questions left unanswered, so I am hoping the next book arrives soon!
~Laura’s Interests
Holly Quinn is a new to me author and I enjoyed her writing style . . . The setting was also charming and the author’s descriptions of it made me feel that I was very familiar with the town.
~Melina’s Book Blog
I always enjoy cozies that involve cooking or crafting . . . I also enjoy the small town feel and the different festivals or events that these many small towns create to bring joy and excitement to the town and its residents. Holly Quinn has managed to bring both of these together to this small town in Wisconsin with great success.

For fans of Betty Hechtman and Maggie Sefton, the latest craft frenzy is Holly Quinn’s Handcrafted series debut.
Sammy Kane just moved back to her hometown to run a craft store. But when the owner of a nearby yarn shop is murdered, Sammy will needle little help finding the killer.
When a heartbroken Samantha “Sammy” Kane returns to her hometown of Heartsford, WI, for her best friend Kate’s funeral, she learns that Kate’s much-loved craft store is in danger of perishing with its owner. Confounding all her expectations of the life she would live, Sammy moves back home with her golden retriever and takes over Community Craft. A few doors down Main Street, fellow new arrival Ingrid Wilson has just opened the Yarn Barn, a real “purl” of a shop. But when Sammy strolls over to see if Ingrid could use a little help, she finds Ingrid’s dead body—with a green aluminum knitting needle lodged in her throat.
Detective Liam Nash is thrown for a loop as every single citizen of Heartsford seems to have a theory about Ingrid’s murder. And nearly everyone in town seems to be a suspect. But the last time Sammy did any sleuthing was as a little moppet. And this is not fun and games. Sammy is eager to help the handsome Liam—who seems to be endlessly inventive in finding reasons to talk with her—and when Liam arrests affable woodworker Miles Danbury, Sammy puts everything on the line to help clear Miles.
As the case comes dangerously close to unraveling, Sammy must stitch the clues together. But the killer has other plans—and if Sammy’s not careful, she may wind up in a perilous knot in A Crafter Knits a Clue, the first warm and woolly yarn of Holly Quinn’s new Handcrafted mysteries.

I envy people who do crafts. It must be lovely to sit quietly and get lost in the work.
I can’t wait to get this book, it sounds amazing. I am not too crafty, even with directions I swear I have two left hands ?
Sounds like a good read and one to use for my cozy challenges for crafts.
