Buried in the Stacks: A Haunted Library Mystery
by Allison Brook
Allison Brook has taken a number of the Seven Deadly Sins and bound them together in a tome that is all too readable! . . . Read it and enjoy is my recommendation!
~A Wytch’s Book Review Blog
Buried in the Stacks is an entertaining cozy mystery and I am glad to have discovered the writing of Allison Brook . . . I loved how a relevant and compelling social issue is featured, that of the homeless.
~The Power of Words
BURIED IN THE STACKS is a diverting read combining social issues with murder.
~Cozy Up With Kathy
Buried in the Stacks is a haunting cozy mystery a chubby cat, a sweet spirit, deceptive do-gooders, an irascible reference librarian and pugnacious patrons.
~The Avid Reader
A well-written story full of twists that was a lot of fun to read. The characters are believable and leaped off the page.
~Escape With Dollycas Into A Good Book
Buried in the Stacks is well-written with a multi-layered mystery plot and delightful characters . . . A fun cozy with some depth too, in a lovely bookish setting.
~Reading is My SuperPower
A wonderful story, and not just for a good mystery, but for all the other wonderful storylines included. I definitely recommend this one to cozy mystery lovers everywhere.
~Carla Loves To Read
An incredible cozy filled with easy to relate to characters set in a town that feels like home centered on its adorable library. A must-read for fans of copies and libraries. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.
~Books a Plenty Book Reviews
Real social issues being tackled by the local residents added a lot of heart and realism to the story. Like the first book, once I got started Buried in the Stacks was very hard to put down.
~The Book’s the Thing
Buried in the Stacks by Allison Brook is a fantastic story filled with mystery, murder, destruction, blackmailing, and how some people take advantage of others. On the positive side, there is a ghost and a cat — all in all, a great book.
~Baroness’ Book Trove
I highly recommend this series to anyone who enjoys cozy mysteries, or reading and libraries, who has a tolerance for some paranormal elements to their mysteries (a ghost with insider information is FUN!) and anyone who loves a page-turner, can’t put down book.
I think Buried in the Stacks is an interesting read. Carrie has her hands full and digs deep in Dorothy’s and Evelyn’s lives to unmask a killer who may have committed a crime nearly seven years prior to the present time.
~Nadaness In Motion
I loved this book, it was a great clean cozy mystery with a hint of the paranormal . . .
I love this series, each book just gets better. The characters are well developed and well rounded, and Carrie has some great friends.
The mystery was well written and it kept me guessing. The character development in this series is especially strong, and that makes the mysteries a bit more substantive to me.

As the new Sunshine Delegate, Carrie heads to the hospital to visit her cantankerous colleague, Dorothy, who had fallen outside the local supermarket. She tells Carrie that her husband tried to kill her–and that he murdered her Aunt Evelyn, the library’s resident ghost, six years earlier.
And then Dorothy is murdered–run off the road as soon as she returns to work.
