To Fetch a Villain – Four Fun “Tails” of Scandal and Murder A Mutt Mystery
by Jayne Ormerod, Maria Hudgins, Teresa Inge, & Heather Weidner
I loved the collection of different sleuths with different jobs and different styles of sleuthing. Each of these authors were new to me so it was a fun chance to meet some new great writers.
~My Reading Journeys
Ruff Day
I enjoyed the theme in this one because I think it would be so much fun to go view custom dog houses. Darcy’s entry seems adorable, and I’m sure my dog would love it.
At Your Service
The characters were well-developed for such a short read, and the plot moved along seamlessly.
A Shot in the Bark
This is another quick, fun “tail.” I like the dog walking business theme and thought that the mystery was just puzzling enough for the reader to puzzle over until near the end.
Strut Your Mutt
This is a delightful story with humor and great characters. I’m looking forward to reading more books with Delanie, Duncan, and Margaret the bulldog.
~Christy’s Cozy Corners
The main characters are all well & good but it’s the DOG that steal the show. The authors each give their respective canine costars such delightful personalities, and I loved meeting them.
~Reading Is My SuperPower
These are four stories long enough to be fully fleshed out and enjoyable yet short enough to read in a single sitting. There are great characters here, both human and otherwise, and I can’t even choose a favorite story from the collection.
~The Book’s the Thing
This is a collection of four novellas that are barking sensations. They offer enjoyable mini mysteries featuring great amateur sleuths paired up with funky, smart, and adorable canine sidekicks.
