One Poison Pie (Kitchen Witch Mysteries)
by Lynn Cahoon
I find the author’s writing style very comfortable with clear descriptions without being too wordy. People and places are easily visualized and the characters really come to life. The pace was perfect and humor popped up in all the right places.
~Escape With Dollycas Into A Good Book
The author has certainly captured the true spirit of the valley. It was a lot of fun for me to take a trip down memory lane as she talked about the trips to Boise and Twin Falls.
~Literary Gold
The magic is a fun and interesting addition to the story, but Mia still has to rely on her wit and on those around her to solve the mystery which made me very happy.
~The Book’s the Thing
A wonderful start to a new magical cozy series! . . . With magic at every turn as well as characters you can relate to or even hate it ducks you in until you cannot put it down.
~Books a Plenty Book Reviews
The characters are amazing. I want to be best friends with several, even if they are cloaking secrets.
~Laura’s Interests
One Poison Pie was a delightful mystery with an amazing cast of characters.
~Moonlight Rendezvous
One Poison Pie is a well-written story with likable, relatable characters. There is continued character development in the book, allowing the reader to become more familiar with Mia and Grans and get to know them.
~Sapphyria’s Books
The kitchen witch theme is interesting, and I was pulled into Ms. Cahoon’s world.
~Jen K – Novels Alive
One Poison Pie is a charming tale with tasty treats, a gorgeous grocery guy, coven conundrum, a cookbook bandit, a vanishing feline, a door dilemma, and a mysterious murder.
~The Avid Reader
Mia was so wonderful and I’m gonna be honest some of those customers were just difficult enough that I certainly would have poisoned them. There are enough twists and turns in this book that it kept me guessing right up to the end.
~WICKEDLY ROMANCE
The magick in the first Kitchen Witch mystery is subtle, making it more realistic . . . ONE POISON PIE is a complex mystery seared with the ties and friendship and family.
~Cozy Up With Kathy
Overall this is a well-plotted cozy mystery, with great characters and a wonderful storyline. Exactly what I love about Lynn Cahoon’s books.
~Carla Loves to Read
There were many different aspects and mysteries to this story that it became a hard to put down book. There is also a very good romantic element to this story and a lovely sense of family and friends that gave me a warm feeling.

In the first in New York Times bestselling author Lynn Cahoon’s Kitchen Witch series, Mia Malone is starting over in Magic Springs, Idaho—where murder is on the menu . . .
What’s a kitchen witch to do when her almost-fiancé leaves her suddenly single and unemployed? For Mia Malone, the answer’s simple: move to her grandmother’s quirky Idaho hometown, where magic is an open secret and witches and warlocks are (mostly) welcome. With a new gourmet dinner delivery business—and a touch of magic in her recipes—Mia’s hopes are high. Even when her ex’s little sister, Christina, arrives looking for a place to stay, Mia takes it in stride.
But her first catering job takes a distasteful turn when her client’s body is found, stabbed and stuffed under the head table. Mia’s shocked to learn that she’s a suspect—and even more so when she realizes she’s next on a killer’s list. With Christina, along with Mia’s meddling grandma, in the mix, she’ll have to find out which of the town’s eccentric residents has an appetite for murder…before this fresh start comes to a sticky end. . . .
