This was such a fun and atmospheric cozy mystery. The setting felt so authentic that I could almost hear the music and see the parades rolling by.

A Murderer’s Guide to Mardi Gras just made me ready for the next installment in the series. I definitely recommend it to cozy mystery lovers! I really enjoyed this twisty mystery with its many viable suspects. As always, I enjoyed the characters most of all. The main characters really feel as if they’re all one big family. The side characters are well-written as well and add to the story. I loved reading all about the parties, gowns, and food!

I have enjoyed this series from the first book, and I especially enjoy watching Ricki grow as a person, and uncovering her biological past. This band of characters makes each story interesting, and keeps me entertained until the last page. We give this book (and really the series) 5 paws up. Give it a try, and venture down to N’awlins during Mardi Gras.
