Sinister Remnants is a roller coaster ride that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end. The suspense continued to ratchet up to the very end, and I stayed up way past my bedtime to get to the very exciting and satisfying end. It was well worth the loss of sleep, and I have no regrets.

The book is action-packed and will keep you on your toes until the very end. There are some touching moments with David, Tori’s love interest. There are also some harrowing times. But that is the great thing about a mystery: nail-biting moments mixed in with tender ones.
This is such a fun series, and I devoured the book quickly. So of course, I must give it 5 paws up.

Tori gestured toward her team. “On behalf of all of us, thank you for coming. We hope you enjoyed the tour.”
Tori moved to the foyer, while Tina distributed the packets.
Holding the front door open, she smiled and thanked each reporter as they filed out.
Polaski, the last to leave, shot her a smug little look. “Too bad you went to all this effort for nothing.”
Tori kept her expression steady, but the words hit like a blow as she closed the door. A knot of unease tightened in her chest. She turned.
“For cripes’ sake! What was that all about?”
