by Lois Winston
Many readers will be laughing continually at the antics of Anastasia and her clan in Drop Dead Ornaments . . . (it) will take you on a lively adventure.
~The Avid Reader

I love this series! Not only is Anastasia a “crime magnet,” she is hilarious and snarky, a delight to read about and a dedicated friend.
~Mallory Heart’s Cozies
I found myself fully engaged and zipped through the book in 2 days.
~The Ninja Librarian
Besides an interesting and entertaining mystery and lots of different family relationship entanglements, at the end of the book we are treated to varieties of simple ornaments to make in time for the upcoming holiday season or seasons.
~Laura’s Interests
This is a Tour de Force of a Murder/Mystery – with some added humour as well . . .
~ A Wytch’s Book Review Blog
Drop Dead Ornaments is such a fantastic book, Y’all! . . . I hereby bestow upon Drop Dead Ornaments my highest rating of Five Kitties!
~Jane Reads
(Anastasia’s) wit and sarcasm lend a bit of humor to this cozy, and the story kept me intrigued right up to the end.
~The Book’s the Thing
Lois Winston’s cozy craft mystery “Drop Dead Ornaments” is an enjoyable “kiddie” roller-coaster ride, with secrets and clues tugging the reader this way and that, and gentle climbs and drops of suspense and revelation to keep them reading.
~Here’s How It Happened
What I like best about Anastasia is how she balances her quest for justice with the needs and fears of her family.
~Self-Rescue Princess
I thought the plot was well thought out and the story flowed well. There were many twists and turns in this story, and I enjoyed all the quirky characters in the story as well.
~Melina’s Book Blog
The book is a lighthearted cozy mystery with lots of energy and definitely lots of action and interaction between characters.

Anastasia Pollack’s son Alex is dating Sophie Lambert, the new kid in town. For their community service project, the high school seniors have chosen to raise money for the county food bank. Anastasia taps her craft industry contacts to donate materials for the students to make Christmas ornaments they’ll sell at the town’s annual Holiday Crafts Fair.
At the fair Anastasia meets Sophie’s father, Shane Lambert, who strikes her as a man with secrets. She also notices a woman eavesdropping on their conversation. Later that evening when the woman turns up dead, Sophie’s father is arrested for her murder.
Alex and Sophie beg Anastasia to find the real killer, but Anastasia has had her fill of dead bodies. She’s also not convinced of Shane’s innocence. Besides, she’s promised younger son Nick she’ll stop risking her life. But how can she say no to Alex?
