HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
Last Sunday was a huge day for our family. Kaden graduated from high school. Tears were flowing as I watched him walk across the same stage I did 47 years ago and 51 years after Mr. Dollycas did. I had the perfect seat to see him walk in; that’s when the tears started. There wasn’t a bad seat in the entire gym. This class of 2026 had 86 members. I love how the processional in is measured and slow, and the recessional out is pretty darn quick.

The class song was the ideal graduation anthem-
Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield.
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten
We are all so proud of Kaden and excited for what the future will bring.

Thomas played on Thursday night. He’s an old pro at this now. He played 2nd and 3rd base.

This week will again be full of sports; I love that!!!

Thursday was Natalie’s last day of middle school. Her mother also started a new job, leaving one she had held for 24 years.

On Friday, I had my yearly mammogram. I was nervous because, since my breast cancer diagnosis, treatment, and lumpectomy, I have gone for mammograms every six months. I had my results within a couple of hours: IMPRESSION: No suspicious mammographic findings. I am so happy I didn’t have to wait over the holiday weekend.

I am chair dancing! As I compose this post, it is a wonderful 83 degrees and sunny outside. I hope to wrap this up quickly so I can go back out and enjoy it! In Wisconsin, you never know how long it will last.
Thursday was our 43rd wedding anniversary. We celebrated by attending Natalie’s final middle school softball games. They won both games, and Natalie made some great plays at 3rd base. Last week, we missed her last two tournament games. I told you she had had a triple, a double, and a single. Well, it was 2 triples and several wonderful plays at 3rd. But the best news, she was selected MVP! She has tournaments with her traveling team all summer long, and we are going to make as many as we can. So proud of her!
